Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could take his new Red Bull allegiances from football into Formula One.

Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 2023-24 season after spending almost nine years as manager at Anfield, winning nearly every single honour available to the Reds in his time there. In October, it was announced that the German would be taking over as Red Bull's Global Head of Soccer – his first non-coaching since 2000.

In his capacity as Global Head of Soccer, Klopp will oversee the worldwide network of all Red Bull football teams, including Leipzig, Salzburg, and the New York Red Bulls. In addition to actively participating in player and head coach transfers, he will be expected to assist the teams on coaching issues, playing philosophy, and development. It has now been reported he could play a role in their Formula One setup too.

Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko has talked about his 'love' to introduce Klopp to the team and described the hiring of the former Liverpool manager as 'sensational'.
Marko said, via the , "I just don't know how he wants to combine it all, these different continents and the like. But since football is very important to us, I think that was the best move that could have been made."
