Who's hot, who's not? GOAL ranks all 30 teams across Major League Soccer

The stars came out on Matchday 15, with goals galore.

Seven matches saw at least one team score three goals, while Atlanta United stole the show as the highest scorers of the weekend with a brilliant 4-2 win over FC Cincinnati on Sunday. Only three matches resulted in clean sheets, with scoring prowess taking center-stage across the Matchday.

Charlotte FC secured one of the best results of the weekend, stunning the Columbus Crew 3-2, while San Diego FC secured a last-ditch victory over the LA Galaxy courtesy of a Chucky Lozano winner.

Lionel Messi, meanwhile, scored a goal of the year contender with a sublime free kick – but it wasn't enough as Inter Miami just barely earned a point in a 3-3 draw with the Philadelphia Union. Then, in a battle of USMNT CONCACAF Gold Cup training camp roster call-ups, Brian White and the Vancouver Whitecaps defeated Diego Luna's Real Salt Lake in a five-goal thriller.

Let's get into it.

Prior Ranking: 30

Results: Lost 2-1 to San Diego FC

Ramifications: How many times does it need to be drilled into the heads of the LA Galaxy players that individual mistakes cost the entire team? All season long, it's been the case, and Saturday was no different. With a point on the cards in the dying minutes of the game, for some reason, Carlos Garces could not handle a defensive clearance and instead put the ball on a platter for SDFC to counter, score, and take all three points.

Greg Vanney must be absolutely furious – the Galaxy had a real opportunity here.

Prior Ranking: 27

Result: Lost to Colorado 1-0

Ramifications: CITY look lifeless on the pitch at the moment, with little idea of what to do or how to create – even in their own half. They registered three decent chances against Colorado, but lacked a clinical touch all evening long.

Right now, they're a club with a lot of pieces that don't have spots in the puzzle. Winless in 11 – it's becoming fair to start holding them in conversation with the Galaxy for how poor they are.

28CF Montreal

Prior Ranking: 29

Results: Drew LAFC 2-2

Ramifications: It's a good point, all in all. For a club that is immensely struggling like MTL, getting a result at home against a talented side like LAFC is impressive. Sure, they've had some abysmal showings earlier in the season, but results against all three of the Crew, NYCFC and now LAFC over the past month show that there's still fight in the team.

27D.C. United

Prior Ranking: 25

Result: Lost to RBNY 2-0

Ramifications: D.C. has not scored in four-straight, and things are really just looking bleak. Christian Benteke suffered an injury last week and won't feature for a few weeks, which is only going to add to their growing woes.

Manager Troy Lesesne has his hands full.
