Saliba has developed into one of the best defenders in the Premier League since breaking into Mikel Arteta's starting XI at Arsenal, forming a brilliant partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes while the Gunners challenge for silverware.

Saliba has been in fine form once again for Arsenal this season, forming part of the shrewdest defence in the English top flight. However, the 24-year-old has admitted he still has to improve before he can describe himself as the very best in the business.

WHAT SALIBA SAID

Saliba told : "I think I am one of the best, but not yet the best defender in the world. I can still become much better one day, I hope to improve."
