Diaa El-Sayed, who coached Salah for the Egypt Under-20s in 2011 and transformed him from a left-back into a forward, claims the Liverpool talisman should stay at Anfield, where he has become a legend since signing in 2017. Salah's contract is due to expire in the summer of 2025 with no news yet of any agreement to extend.

Salah is one of three Liverpool stars, along with Trent Alexnader-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, who will leave Anfield in the summer if nothing new is agreed. Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, while Van Dijk is considered the likeliest to pen a new deal on Merseyside.
WHAT EL-SAYED SAID
El-Sayed told Sun Sport: "I have known Salah since he was just a kid and I know how honest he is as a human being. He's had eight amazing years at Liverpool and his numbers are just incredible. Of course I want him to stay at Liverpool. We in Egypt would love him to stay beyond this summer."
